Antennas Direct 91XG UHF antenna

Posted by Gwen (1 item)

Antenna is almost 8 feet long. Was bought new in 2019 and used until this year.

UHF-only, used for CBC and Global. Worked fine roof-mounted on a 2 story (with high end amp, combiner, and filters) in St Jean Baptiste until this past year when reception of those stations would start cutting out intermittently throughout the evening. I suspect that a recent Rogers cell phone tower in Morris may been the major contributor of interference as it is directly in the path between us and the CBC/Global broadcast towers in Winnipeg. We ended up getting a higher end model less sensitive to cell frequencies and an amp with better filtering.

For this to work for you, you'll probably need to be north of Morris for reception via roof-mounted mast, likely with a quality amplifier that filters out 600Mhz+700Mhz cell phone bands. If you're north of St Agathe, you might get away with attic mount depending on roof construction and attic reflection. Obstructions (including trees) can impact reception.

Almost 8 feet long but extremely light weight, and can be disassembled into 3 sections for easier transport. It has the mast-mounting clamp and balun, but no other equipment (you'll need mast, coaxial cable, probably amplifier and filters, a VHF antenna and combiner if you want to try getting Fox/CityTV/CTV, etc).

You can get a sense of what stations you might receive in your location via the maps at one of the following websites:
