Split Queen Size Bunkie Boards
Posted by Elizabeth Prost (22 items)
Do you need support for your queen size mattress but do not have space for a box spring or foundation, or have widely spaced slats under your mattress? Then this could be what you need. These are home made bunkie boards, made from 1 ½” aspen plywood (2 pieces of ¾” plywood glued and nailed together), covered with bunting and black fabric. These were made because sales staff at Ethan Allen did not know their product and gave us incorrect information concerning the number of slats and their spacing for our new bed. Turns out that we did not need them. Each piece measures 29 “ wide X 79 ½ “ long X 1 ¾” thick, made to fit a queen size bed. While there are cheaper alternatives available online, they are foam and fabric covered slats, and generally made at 59” wide. Ours are solid aspen plywood, made in 2 pieces of 29” wide plywood for easier handling. Asking $250.00, and we lose the rest. Cash only and pick up only. Located in High River. Please phone 403-652-1972. (Land line, please do not text.)
